Frequently asked questions
What to expect during the first physiotherapy session?
In the initial physiotherapy session, the physiotherapist will ask about your pain history, followed by performing a physical examination to determine the problem area before commencing on a treatment program.
What are the treatment types at Movinglives Physiotherapy?
Manual therapy (soft tissue massage, joint mobilizations) and exercise therapy are the main modes of treatment. Heat or Ice therapy may be applied depending on your condition. Movinglives physiotherapy firmly believes in getting you to take part and be in charge of your treatment plan, instead of relying on electrophysical agents (traction, electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, interferrential therapy etc) as they have low evidence that it helps in long term pain management.
Do I need a Doctor's referral?
Physiotherapy are first contact practioners. This means Doctor's referrals are not required for a physiotherapy consultation. We are specialised in diagnosing most musculoskeletal conditions. However, if you need to submit an insurance claim, a Doctor's referral may be needed. Kindly check with your insurance provider.
What do I need to bring during the initial physiotherapy session?
Kindly bring along your identification card.
How should I dress for a physiotherapy/sports massage session?
